- How many kilometres from Sault to Mont Ventoux?
Our bike shop is located right in the centre of the Sault, and the summit of Mont Ventoux is 26km from the front of our shop.
- Do you have a parking space for my car?
There is a large free public parking lot right in front of our bike shop and directly behind our building. We recommend arriving by 08:00 in the morning in order to find a space in front of our shop, which is considered the starting point of the Mont Ventoux climb.
- Do you have supplements such as energy gels, protein bars, etc. in your store?
Yes, we carry SIS branded protein bars, energy gels, etc. in our store.
- Do you rent bidons?
No, we do not rent bidons as we do not find it hygienic. However, you can buy different sized bidons from our store.
- I'm not an experienced cyclist, can I do Mont Ventoux by bicycle?
Climbing Mont Ventoux is a long and challenging as well as technical descent. You can overcome the climb with a bike that is the right size for you, with the correct seat height. However, if you find your riding experience insufficient, we strongly recommend you to choose a bicycle with hydraulic disc brakes. And make a very cautious descent.
- How many hours does it take to climb Mont Ventoux from Sault?
The average user can reach the summit of Mont Ventoux in approximately 2 hours of non-stop driving. The descent takes approximately 40 minutes. The wind, the temperature and the duration of the breaks will affect how long you will exceed the two-hour time limit. Times under two hours are considered a good result for amateur cyclists.
- Do you help me in case of a flat tire?
All our bikes are tubeless ready and contain Dynamic tubeless sealent in it. In case you have any mechanical problems with your rented bikes, we have a motorcycle available for roadside assistance, depending on the availability of the store, although we haven't encountered this yet.
- Do you apply a deposit for rentals?
We do not apply a deposit, but we keep your credit card information on record for the duration of the rental.
- Should I bring my own helmet and pedals
In our bike shop we offer Giant Rev Pro Mips helmets free of charge with rental. You can also benefit from our Shimano SPD, Shimano SPD SL, Look Keo and flat pedal options for free. However, if you want to use your own equipment, it is okay to bring it with you. However, we do not offer discounts if the products offered free of charge are not used.
- Do you provide insurance support in case of an accident or theft?
For all rentals, we allow you to test the bikes and then you sign a rental contract. You are obliged to return our bicycles and equipment in the same condition as you received them when the rental period ends. In the event of an accident, the renter is responsible for its health and for returning the rented equipment in the same condition as received. We do not provide any insurance support. For all damages that cannot be repaired, the renter is compensated from the renter at the sales price of the goods. Repair and spare part fees are charged for repairable damages.
- Do you offer free shoes for bicycle rental?
We do not offer free shoes. However, you can rent shoes for professional use, such as Crono, Surge Pro and Charge Elite models which have a locking mechanism.
- Do you take a lunch break?
Our bike shop is open from 08:00 in the morning until 18:30 in the evening. However, there may be short breaks for lunch, in which case you can reach us quickly on your cell phone and usually within 10 minutes the shop door is open again.
